The landing place

A safe place even in a storm, the small port of Fezzano is home to numerous sailboats whose masts all clink on days when the weather is bad. The typical Ligurian houses, which extend vertically, are a colorful mosaic that welcomes the approaching boats. The dock is large and easily accessible. A rough sea and strong offshore winds can make it difficult to get on and off the boats.

Interesting facts

Simonetta Cattaneo Vespucci, one of the most famous ladies of the Renaissance and the muse of Botticelli who portrayed her in many of his works, was born in Fezzano. Every year, Fezzano participates in the traditional Palio of the Gulf "rowing challenge" that 13 villages take part in.
