The landing place

Moneglia is a village located in Eastern Liguria, east of Genoa. If you come from the West, Moneglia is the first dock of line 02 served by the Consorzio's maritime transport in the direction of Cinque Terre.
Departures from Deiva Marina and Moneglia take place 3 days a week, we advise anyone who decides to travel with us to consult our website for all service information (timetables and fares, lines).

The village faces a bay bordered by two headlands: Punta Moneglia to the west and Punta Rospo to the east.
The dock is on Promenade Dante Alighieri, near the park of Villafranca’s Castle, a few steps from the boat storage area.

Interesting facts

The ancient toponym of Moneglia was Monilia, in Roman times it was an important center for the empire. The municipal herald contains a representation of the ancient Fortress of Monleone, built by the Republic of Genoa in 1173. On the site of the ancient fortress, the Castle de Fornari was built in the 20th century in perfect Art Nouveau style.
